-
Early Stage: Play a pivotal role in shaping a rapidly growing, early stage startup where your contributions directly influence the culture, processes and long-term success.
What You’ll Do
As an Operations Lead, your role will span several domains, including managing clinical capacity operations and modeling, as well as supporting launches with provider and payor partners.
As Benchmark grows, this role will evolve — offering opportunities to help shape new processes and operational frameworks that enable scale.
Responsibilities May Include
Leading capacity planning and resource management to match clinician availability with incoming referral volume from PCP and health system partners.
Designing and managing staffing operations for licensed and unlicensed clinicians — overseeing recruitment, onboarding, credentialing, licensure, and performance management.
Developing and implementing scalable SOPs and workflows, ensuring every step of the clinical and referral process is consistent, efficient, and compliant.
Helping to build the operational P&L, ensuring that capacity, financial targets, and partner expectations align.
Driving data accuracy and insights across patient referrals, billing, invoices, and clinician utilization — identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective measures.
Managing relationships with provider and payor partners, ensuring smooth referral processes, training, and ongoing operational engagement.
Building and expanding payor partnerships, developing the operational and contractual frameworks that allow payors to refer patients directly to Benchmark.
Collaborating cross-functionally with clinical, customer success, product, and strategy teams to optimize workflows, partner performance, and implementation timelines.
Leading partner implementations, including EMR setup, documentation, dot phrases, patient handouts, and PCP engagement activities.
You’ll thrive in a startup environment that values systems thinking, precision, and innovation. We’re looking for someone who can balance strategic foresight with hands-on operational execution.
Your Impact
Build and oversee the operational backbone that enables Benchmark to partner effectively with primary care providers, health systems, and payors.
Ensure every referred patient is connected to the right clinician at the right time.
Drive operational excellence that allows Benchmark to scale nationally while maintaining quality and compliance.
Develop payor and health system partnerships that expand access to behavioral health services.
Turn data into insights that power better decisions, accountability, and performance across teams.
Enable clinicians to focus on delivering care—because the operations behind them run flawlessly.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking an experienced operational leader ready to scale behavioral health access through innovation and partnership:
5+ years in healthcare operations, ideally within behavioral health, collaborative care, or multi-site clinical environments.
Proven experience managing capacity and staffing across multiple markets and clinician types (licensed and unlicensed).
Deep understanding of PCP and health system partnerships, including referral workflows, care coordination, and implementation.
Strong financial and analytical acumen, with experience owning a P&L and using data to inform capacity and budget decisions.
Skilled at building SOPs, workflows, and scalable operational frameworks that support growth and efficiency.
Excellent communication and leadership skills—able to work across teams and with external partners.
Passionate about expanding access to behavioral health and improving outcomes through collaborative, systems-driven solutions.
Excited to build within an early-stage, fast-moving environment where operational innovation drives real-world impact.
Preferred: Experience developing and managing payor relationships, including network contracting, operational readiness, and performance management.
