Job Summary:The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient movement of materials within the BuyWander warehouse. This includes unloading trucks, filling production lines, loading carts, stocking items in the warehouse, performing warehouse inventory scans, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. This role like all roles will interact with customers on a daily basis when assisting the team with order pick ups especially for large items.

Responsibilities:

• Receiving and Unloading:
• Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing lists.
• Unload trucks and containers by hand, or by using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Some assistance with customers for large pick ups.
• Production Support
• Ensure continuous supply of materials to Production Team members, keeping workstations stocked with necessary inventory.
• Remove finished products from production areas and place them in stocking carts.
• Inventory Stocking and Management
• Use a smartphone and scanner to ensure that every item is scanned into a specific warehouse location 100% of the time.
• Conduct physical inventory scans as needed.
• Organize warehouse shelves and condense items to create space for incoming products.
• Stock all newly finished products in appropriate warehouse locations.
• Equipment Operation:
• Operate pallet jacks, stocking carts, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Forklift operation experience is desirable but not required.
• Warehouse Maintenance:
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
• Remove debris and trash from work areas.
• Ensure that all safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not required.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to operate a smartphone and bluetooth scanner.
• Ability to understand direction and communicate with a supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule and Wage:

• Looking for Mon-Sat availability: 8-430 and/or 10-630.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
