Warehouse Production & Material Handling Associate
Job Summary:
The Warehouse Production & Material Handling Associate plays a key role in the daily operations of the BuyWander warehouse. This position is responsible for processing and documenting inventory, moving materials throughout the facility, supporting production, stocking and scanning items, unloading shipments, and ensuring a clean and organized warehouse. The role also requires occasional customer interaction when assisting with order pickups.

Responsibilities:

• Inventory Processing: Open boxes, scan barcodes, match items in the company app, document conditions with descriptions and photos, reseal boxes, and apply SKU labels.
• Material Handling: Unload trucks and containers, move products using pallet jacks, stocking carts, and forklifts (if certified), and restock shelves.
• Production Support: Keep workstations stocked with necessary materials, remove finished products from production areas, and ensure smooth workflow for the team.
• Inventory Management: Use a smartphone and scanner to ensure accurate tracking of all items; conduct inventory scans and maintain organized warehouse shelves.
• Customer Support: Assist customers with pickups, particularly for large or heavy items.
• Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the work environment clean, safe, and organized by removing trash, condensing items, and following all safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Warehouse or production experience preferred but not required.
• Forklift certification is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to operate a smartphone and barcode scanner.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and communicate effectively.
• Physical ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Schedule & Wage:

• Full-time, Monday–Friday (various shifts between 8:00 am – 7:30 pm).
• Wage $18/ hour
• Points system reflecting accuracy and speed, points are equated to a bonus depending on performance.
