Order Picker/Runner - Full Time

Position Title: Order Picker/Runner
Department: Fulfillment
Reports To: Order Fulfillment Manager

Job Summary

The Order Picker/Runner is responsible for the fast, accurate, and physically demanding process of fulfilling customer orders within the BuyWander warehouse. This role involves continuous, rapid movement throughout the warehouse to pick items and/or quickly running orders out for customer pickup. This is a highly physical, full-time position requiring the ability to move quickly and efficiently all day.

Key Responsibilities

This role demands high energy and constant motion. The core responsibilities focus on speed and accuracy.

Fast-Paced Order Picking

• Retrieve items from various warehouse locations according to pick waves using a smartphone and Bluetooth scanner.
• Maintain a high level of productivity, meeting or exceeding minimum units per hour (UPH) picking goals.
• Verify order accuracy and completeness, maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Assemble picked items for customer orders and prepare them for fast transport.

High-Speed Order Running (Customer Carryout)

• Quickly claim, grab, verify, and deliver customer orders.
• Assist customers with carrying orders to their vehicles at a fast pace.
• Ensure that every item is accurately scanned out before leaving the building.

Physical and Inventory Support

• Process customer returns according to company policies, inspecting items quickly and accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized fulfillment area.
• Ensure items are stored in their designated locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced environment or physically demanding job is a plus.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Proven ability to move quickly and sustain high-energy work throughout the entire shift.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to order accuracy.
• Ability to understand direction and communicate effectively with a supervisor.
• Ability to operate a smartphone and Bluetooth scanner.

Physical Requirements

This role requires continuous movement and physical exertion. Candidates must enjoy being on their feet and moving/running all day.

Endurance - Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods with minimal breaks.

Strength - Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.

Mobility - Ability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead frequently.

Pace - Ability to work in a very fast-paced, goal-driven environment.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, shifts are 7:00-3:30 and 10:45-7:15

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
