Order Picker/Runner - Full Time

Position Title: Order Picker/Runner

Reports To: Order Fulfillment Manager

Order Picker / Runner – BuyWander Warehouse

Job Summary
This is a high-speed, high-output warehouse role built for individuals who can sustain continuous physical movement and aggressive productivity expectations. The Order Picker/Runner is responsible for executing customer orders in real time within a metric-driven environment where speed, accuracy, and urgency are critical at all times.
Team members are expected to remain in near-constant motion, quickly navigating the warehouse, fulfilling orders, and delivering them without delay. This is not a stationary role—success requires endurance, mental focus, and the ability to perform under sustained physical and time pressure.

Key Responsibilities
Rapid Order Picking (Performance-Based)

Execute high-volume order picking using a smartphone and Bluetooth scanner

Meet and consistently exceed strict units-per-hour (UPH) targets

Move briskly between locations to minimize downtime

Maintain accuracy while working at high speed—errors directly impact performance

Stage completed orders immediately to keep workflow moving

Real-Time Order Running (Immediate Execution)

Claim and fulfill orders as they drop with minimal response time

Move quickly to retrieve, verify, and deliver orders for customer pickup

Assist customers with carryout at a fast pace while maintaining accuracy

Ensure all items are scanned and verified before exiting the building

Continuous Workflow & Operational Support

Remain actively engaged at all times—idle time is minimal to none

Transition rapidly between picking, running, and returns without slowing pace

Process returns quickly while maintaining throughput expectations

Keep work areas organized to support maximum speed and efficiency

Maintain correct inventory placement to reduce retrieval time

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Proven ability to work in high-output, physically demanding environments

Comfortable working under strict performance metrics and time constraints

Strong attention to detail while operating at speed

Ability to take direction and respond quickly in a fast-moving environment

Comfortable using handheld technology and scanners

Forklift certification is a plus

Physical Requirements

Constant Motion: Walking, fast-paced movement, or light running for the majority of the shift

Endurance: Ability to sustain high energy output for extended periods with limited downtime

Strength: Repeated lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs

Mobility: Frequent bending, reaching, and rapid directional movement

Work Pace: Ability to maintain speed and productivity without decline throughout the shift

Work Environment Expectations

Performance-driven: Output is tracked and measured continuously (e.g., UPH)

Time-sensitive: Orders must be fulfilled quickly and efficiently in real time

Physically demanding: This role requires stamina, resilience, and consistent effort

Fast-paced: Work is continuous, with little to no idle time between tasks

Schedule

Monday-Friday, shifts are 7:00-3:30 and 10:45-7:15

Pay: $18.00 - $18.50 per hour
