We are seeking a People Operations & HRIS Associate to support our growing, multi-state team. This role is ideal for someone with a few years of experience who is comfortable owning HR systems and payroll operations, while continuing to grow within a fast-paced environment.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role responsible for ensuring HR systems, payroll, and day-to-day people operations run smoothly.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain our HRIS (Paylocity), including implementation support, data integrity, and ongoing optimization
- Own and support payroll operations, including audits, off-cycle payrolls, and issue resolution
- Partner with General Managers to reduce administrative burden related to HR processes
- Support the development and implementation of standardized HR processes in partnership with senior leadership
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees, ensuring a positive and professional experience
- Coordinate recruiting efforts, including scheduling and candidate communication
- Handle routine employee relations matters and escalate more complex issues as appropriate
- Support performance management processes through coordination, tracking, and reporting (not design or ownership of company-wide programs)
- Liaise with third-party providers (e.g., benefits administrator) to support employee needs
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or a related field
- Experience working in an HRIS platform (Paylocity experience strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with payroll processes and workforce administration
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working with systems and learning new tools quickly
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a professional, approachable demeanor
- Ability to balance both systems-oriented work (HRIS/payroll) and employee-facing responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in multi-location or multi-state environments
- Exposure to high-growth or operationally complex organizations

Growth Opportunity
This role offers the opportunity to grow within People Operations as the company scales. As the organization grows, responsibilities may evolve into more specialized functions (e.g., dedicated payroll or HR roles), with opportunities to expand scope based on performance.
You will work closely with senior leadership and an external HR consultant to support your development.
Compensation & Location
- Salary: $55,000 – $70,000 DOE
- Equity participation
- In-person role based in Spokane, WA
