Position Title: Stower/Put Away Associate
Department: Inventory Operations
Reports To: Inventory Operations Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Stower/Put Away Associate is responsible for accurately moving processed inventory into designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper organization, and maintaining inventory accuracy within the BuyWander warehouse.

Responsibilities:

Inventory Placement and Scanning:

• Accurately scan newly processed items onto a Put-Away cart, ensuring nothing moves in the warehouse without being scanned.
• Navigate to an open put-away location, scan the location barcode, and verify that the location on your screen matches the sticker on the shelf.
• Place items into their verified locations.
• Hit or exceed UPH goals.

Warehouse Organization and Maintenance (Aisle Hygiene):

• Place the item on the shelf according to stacking rules and perform a rolling inventory scan of all items currently in that location.
• Adhere to strict stacking rules, including not stacking same or similar items together.
• Ensure SKU numbers are facing right-side-up and out for easy reading.
• Correctly place small and bagged items into the smalls bin on each aisle.
• Place “micro” items into the small bin-wall.
• Maintain clean aisle maintenance/hygiene.

Technology Operation:

• Use a phone/scanner to perform all put-away and inventory verification tasks.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to operate a smartphone and Bluetooth scanner.
• Ability to manage technology to accomplish tasks.
• Reliable and able to perform physical work.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.
• Position requires seeing, hearing, use of hands and fingers, sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities.
• Must be able to communicate with others including talking, hearing, and listening and exchanging communication.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
