This role plays a critical part in our mission to electrify transportation with ubiquitous, affordable, and reliable EV fast charging infrastructure. Transitioning the global car refill supply chain to electricity will take decades of focused and intense work to solve the fundamental engineering challenges required to generate, store, transmit, and distribute electricity for a global fleet of electric cars. Electric Era is actively deploying the technologies that make it possible to rapidly transition our car energy infrastructure to electricity, solving one of humanity's greatest challenges.
About the RoleElectric Era is seeking a talented, sales professional who can autonomously manage the full customer lifecycle across enterprise retail accounts. In this role, you will own account development, customer discovery, value selling, and contract negotiations through close, then partner closely with the Implementation team to ensure a seamless handoff. You will act as the face of Electric Era, accelerating enterprise retail customer acquisition while ensuring EV drivers have the best experience at the most convenient, reliable, and retail-forward charging stations.
Core Responsibilities- Territory & Account Strategy: Own a named territory of enterprise retail accounts. Prioritize target accounts, build account plans, sequence outreach to maximize coverage of high-value logos, and strategically map capabilities to meet account-specific business requirements and objectives.
- Sales Cycle Execution: Drive each opportunity from first conversation to signed deal — discovery, stakeholder alignment, proposal, and negotiation — while keeping CRM data and forecasts accurate and current.
- Contract Negotiation: Serve as a strong advocate for the company, working directly with internal legal counsel to draft, negotiate, and execute commercial agreements and contracts with customers.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as the customer’s primary point of contact and hand off closed deals to the Implementation team, staying engaged to protect the relationship and identify expansion opportunities.
- Experience: 2+ years of B2B or enterprise sales experience
- Bonus: A background in enterprise B2B sales within the retail sector (e.g., convenience, fuel, grocery, or big-box retail), EV charging, or solar infrastructure development is preferred
- Negotiation Expertise: Proven sales and negotiation experience with a track record of successfully closing commercial agreements.
- Elite Organization: Highly organized with the capacity to simultaneously manage a pipeline of 20+ active sales opportunities in various stages of the sales cycle without missing a beat.
- Autonomy & Drive: A self-motivated, "high-motor" approach to execution and quota attainment. You must be outspoken about what is needed to close deals and comfortable working independently.
- Business Savvy: Deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to communicate how Electric Era’s charging solutions integrate into and elevate their broader business goals and strategic priorities.
- Communication Skills: An active listener, conscious conversationalist, and persuasive communicator. Must be comfortable pitching and adapting your message for all types of enterprise stakeholders, including C-suite executives, procurement leaders, and operations managers.
- Risk Management: An aggressive, proactive approach to identifying deal-blocking risks in the sales cycle and solving problems before they can stall or derail a deal.
- Travel & Logistics: Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to obtain a US passport is required.
- Salary Range: $100,000-160,000
