ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with CSI’s/Spark policies, procedures, guidelines, contractual commitments, and regulations.
- Operate cleaning equipment and use designated chemicals and other approved cleaning products safely and in accordance with instructions.
- Works to keep the building, classrooms and playground in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
- Completes janitorial tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows and restrooms.
- Assist in cleaning school equipment, furniture, fixtures, and walls.
- Gathers and empties trash.
- Clean restrooms and refill dispensers.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous experience as a housekeeper, cleaner, or in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Housekeeping or Hospitality Certification is a plus.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Ability to use cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies safely and effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact with others as needed.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and a willingness to follow cleaning protocols.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- The physical demands of the position may include standing, walking, lifting, and carrying objects, and performing various patient care activities.
POSITION SUMMARY: The position of the housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and comfortable environment. The housekeeper will ensure that spaces are well maintained, sanitized, and aesthetically pleasing, contributing to a positive experience for all in the center.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This role is based on a dynamic, fast-paced medical daycare setting that can be quite busy and at times chaotic. The nature of the environment requires an individual who can maintain calmness and professionalism under pressure. Moderate noise levels are to be expected due to active care and engagement with children. It is important that the successful candidate can effectively adapt to these conditions while continuously providing high-quality care to our patients.
