ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with CSI’s/Spark policies, procedures, guidelines, contractual commitments, and regulations.

Drives a specially equipped bus to transport pediatric patients with physical disabilities; ensuring that wheelchair lifts and tie-down devices are operating correctly and that riders are brought to on schedule.
Safely pick-up and drop-off children at their homes or designated places.
Schedules routine vehicle maintenance
Maintains/cleans interior of vehicle and child safety seats
Maintains/cleans exterior of vehicle
Keeps vehicle fueled and operational daily

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Level of education and/or experience to successfully accomplish the essential duties of the position.

Must be at least 25 years old.
Clean driving record.
Ability to operate a vehicle safely and efficiently in all weather conditions.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with passengers and other staff members.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
EMT experience would be beneficial

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 lbs.; Ability to stand for prolong periods of time and climb steps regularly. Ability to physically maneuver through work areas; bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of passengers on assigned routes. The Driver must be able to operate a bus safely and efficiently in all weather conditions and must be able to provide excellent service to passengers. This position is for our Joycare Pediatric Day Health Center located in Houston.
