Position Summary:

Reporting to the Sr. FP&A Manager, the FP&A Analyst will play a critical role in optimizing project revenue forecasting and reporting, developing key performance metrics, and establishing actionable unit economics. This position will provide valuable financial insights through in-depth analysis, ad-hoc modeling, and cross-functional collaboration to support strategic decision-making

Position Responsibilities:

• Partner with business unit leaders to enhance project revenue forecasting and provide strategic financial insights.
• Conduct revenue and margin variance analysis, offering recommendations based on budget vs. actual performance.
• Assist in the development of the annual and long-term financial forecast, with a focus on backlog and project pipeline.
• Support the preparation of financial presentations for senior management, the Board of Directors, and external stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize business performance and support strategic decision-making.
• Stay informed on key business initiatives, challenges, and opportunities to maintain a comprehensive financial perspective.
• Contribute to special projects, including system implementations, standardization efforts, and M&A activities.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance.
• 2+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a similar role, with direct experience partnering with operations.
• Strong financial acumen with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial modeling in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly analytical with keen attention to detail—able to dive into the numbers while maintaining a big-picture perspective.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and effectively engage with leadership.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous environments, solving complex problems without a set playbook.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for financial analysis and presentations.

Nice to haves:

• Experience with NetSuite and/or Salesforce.
• Experience in high-growth climate tech, renewable energy, EPC, or related energy sectors
• Prior experience in a VC-backed environment is a plus.
• Located in the Pacific or Mountain Time Zone
